Here are details we need to review prior to you picking up your new Best Friend!

New Puppy Parents will be notified about the arrival of their new pup 1 week after Whelp to ensure all pups are Healthy!

Visits will be available at our Ranch to see your Litter of Pups. They can’t wait to meet you! Visits are schedule around the 5th week from Whelp. A schedule will be sent to you. Visits may be canceled due to inclement weather!

At Puppy Release Date you will receive your ‘AKC Puppy Folder’ which will include: AKC Registration Application, Heatherdowns Purchase Agreement, AKC Reunite Microchip Information & Registration, Health Record, Heatherdowns, ‘Now That I Have Puppy, What Do I Do Next’~ Cheat Sheet, NuVet sample with pamphlet, Parents Pedigrees & all their lineage, and BAXTER & BELLA Training Information.

1-2 weeks prior to PUPPY Release Date you will receive an EMAIL with your PURCHASE AGREEMENT that includes the Health Guarantee for your early review. A Purchase agreement is required to meet PAFCA guidelines.

The HEALTH RECORD for your puppy is also included in your Purchase Agreement. You do not need to print this as the original will be inside the puppy folder at puppy pick-up-date. This is included so you can read and review.

Your Puppy is MICRO-CHIPPED by Heatherdowns Labradors. However, you MUST enroll the Microchip with AKC Reunite. If you enroll on-line it will cost $19.50 for Lifetime Protection. You will receive your Micro-Chip number and pamphlet in your AKC Packet. (You will receive the Micro-chip # the day of Selection & Pick-up of your Puppy.)

Attached in your email is the HEATHERDOWNS ‘Now That I Have Puppy, What do I do Next?’~CHEAT SHEET which contains VERY IMPORTANT CRITERIA to make your puppy successful in their new home!

ACK Registration Paperwork will be given to you in your AKC Packet the day of Selection & Pick-up of your Puppy.

I have included ADDRESS INSTRUCTIONS to our Ranch within this email. Please follow the directions as I have a ‘Use By Special Review’ with the County.

Upon PROPERTY ARRIVAL, you may get out of your car and stretch!! Come over to the house and through the gate to see if we are outside on ‘park patio’ or inside depending on weather. ‘Picking Puppy Process’ usually takes about an hour for each New Puppy Parent!

Heatherdowns Labradors uses TLC Puppy Food. At Puppy Pick-Up you will receive a TLC Puppy Pack. (Puppy Pack Does Not Include Food). Puppy Pack includes coupons, scoop, TLC biscuit samples, poop bags, and TLC brochures). I have also provided TLC with your email so that you can place an order directly with them. Now is the time to order the food & vitamins for your new baby. Don't forget to order the TLC biscuits for training, they are getting these now so training can begin right away, It is very important that you don't change the food the first couple of weeks as the puppy adjusts to it's new life. Try the food & you will agree with me that TLC is one of the best foods on the market, with all that is going on with grain free dog food it is very important that you choose a good quality food that contains grain. All our dogs & puppies are on TLC and we are very happy with how well they are doing on this food. TRANSPORTATION & GETTING YOUR PUPPY TO YOU

FROM OUT-OF-STATE

Ground Transportation: We work with two well-respected ground transport companies that will get your pup safely to you.

Flying: We think the best way when using Airlines, is to fly into Denver, DIA and we will meet you at the airport with pup. You fly back with pup with in soft carrier (in the cabin) to your home state. The cost for puppy to fly with you in cabin with soft carrier averages $100 to $120. You pay for puppy’s ticket when you check-in for departure flight. We think Southwest and United are the best airlines to take an 8 week old pup back with you to your state.
