There are upcoming litters available. Please fill out the "Next Steps" form below if you are interested one of our wonderful puppies becoming a member of your family. Karen, ‘Ren’ owner of Heatherdowns Labradors will contact you IF there are pups or future pups available. Once a Litter is discussed with you, a deposit of $350.00 is required to hold the picking position of your pup. You can make a deposit right through our ‘Webstore’ Page. Our website Webstore interfaces with the program ECWID. Our Webstore funds are processed through ECWID. Encryption is provided by ECWID that will safe guard your information.
Do we get to visit Heatherdowns? We really enjoy the opportunity to provide visits for you when your pup reaches 5 weeks. Any other time than this, would take away from our adult Mamas and Papas and the things they deserve to do like hiking on our property! It would also take away from our need to provide the best care for pups and adult dogs! Providing the Best Care is very detailed to include the limiting of exposure to diseases. We do offer visits but when your pup is 5 weeks old.
How do I know what Puppy will be mine? Once you have decided on a litter, you will be placed on the website with your pick of the litter placement and deposit date. You will receive a receipt detailing the litter name, your placement pick, gender/color preference and other details. Heatherdowns Labradors may need to move a person into a litter who did not receive a pup on a previous litter who may have a deposit prior to you. Heatherdowns Labradors also reserves the right from time to time to select/hold back a pup for our breeding program. At times, this 'right to reserve' may affect the pick position.
What are Heatherdowns Labradors Policies? We understand that family situations and circumstances may change. Should that happen, and you are not able to take delivery of your puppy from a specific litter, your deposit may be applied to a future litter.) Your Deposit is refundable within 1 year from your Deposit Date, if we have not been able to produce a pup for you based on color or gender. Your Deposit is also refundable within 1 year from your Deposit Date, if your circumstances have changed and can no longer take in a puppy due to circumstances beyond your control. Additional Option Litters are offered to prevent delays on receiving your ‘Furever’ Pup in case your 1st Choice pup is not produced. If you place a deposit with us, and in the meantime obtain a pup elsewhere, we are unable to refund your deposit. If, a deposit is determined to be refundable, an administrative fee will be deducted.
Does HEATHERDOWNS provide any discounts? Heatherdowns also offers Discounts along the way once you have placed a deposit with us. We offer discounts at Whelp, Visits and Release when a payment is made towards your pup! For example, when pups are born you will receive an email about the Litter and your Pup. In the email, a discount will be offered if a payment is made towards your pup at the time of Whelp. A second discount opportunity will be offered at Visits. You will receive the Visit Schedule to see your pup, and there will be directions on how to receive another discount at your visit. Finally, at Release or near release we will offer a third discount!
What Happens if I cannot Pick-Up Puppy on Schedule Release Date? We schedule the Release Date of all Litters at the time of Whelp to give you plenty of time to schedule Puppy Release Date! If you absolutely cannot pick-up puppy on release date, there is a $35 Fee per night to keep Puppy day/night past release date.
Will I have an AKC Limited or Full Registration? Both registrations are AKC. A Limited Registration is for those families who have no intent to breed their dog in the future, and purchase their puppy as a family, hunting, or therapy companion. Limited Registrations do not allow for future litters to be registered with the AKC. Limited Registration does allow for a pup to participate and gain points in AKC events such as hunt tests, field trails, and dock events. A Conformation Event (Dog Show) is the only event a Limited Registered dog is unable to participate in, or gain points in that category. Litter owners (Breeders) generally offer Limited Registration in order to protect their breeding programs. Limited Registrations may be changed to Full Registration with consent by, and negotiated fee paid to the breeder, as well as a $25.00 fee paid to the AKC. We schedule visits to our ranch to meet us, see our adult dogs, pups, and our facility when your Pup is about 5-6 weeks old. Immediate Family ONLY Please. Too many Labrador Lovers at once can be a little chaotic. We do visits on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00pm to 3:00pm by appointment only.
